From 12th to 14th September the trade fair Interairport China opened its doors for the seventh time in Beijing. The ASH Group was also represented in the outdoor area of the fair with a combination machine for snow removal and deicing. “China and the Asian region is an important growth market for airport technology fot the ASH Group,” said David Achermann, general manager of ASH China and head of office in Beijing. For 2016, more than 870 millions of passengers are expected at airports in China. A total of 70 new airports are currently being built or are being planned. The goal of the Civil Aviation Administration of China CAAC is that 82 percent of the Chinese population (about 1.07 billions) will be able to reach an airport within 100km – today this is the case for about 60 percent (approximately 780 millions).”
The demand for infrastructure equipment at airports has therefore risen sharply in recent years. Already today, special equipment from Schmidt is now found at nearly all airports in China, which have to contend with snow and black ice due to their geographical location.
