Handling Ten Tons Single-Handedly
Even the best functions of a machine are useless if they cannot be controlled at the crucial moment. This is why the handling - the interface between man and machine - has always been a high priority at Aebi. Our operating concept is the result of decades of optimisation. It is best explained in the tidy cockpit of the Aebi TP 470 Vario.
"It’s a pleasure to work with Aebi machines!"
This quote is taken from a brochure from 1949. Aebi has been developing and manufacturing first-class agricultural machinery in Burgdorf for 140 years. With continuous innovation, we have always set new standards. Want to find out more? The current Aebi magazine sheds light on the history as well as current topics and innovations.
Terratrac No. 15 000: Whoever sells this much has got something!
In the current year, we’re celebrating special anniversaries on all different Aebi production lines. In a loose series, we’ll will show you where the vehicles are going and how they are being used. Today, we start with the 15,000th Terratrac, which was delivered to Michael and Brigitte Schmid in Terenten in South Tyrol.
Aebi TT 241⁺: indispensable on slopes as well as wide open spaces
Andi Lampert breeds Black Angus cattle in the Engadin, a high Alpine valley in eastern Switzerland that is often compared to the west of Canada. Andi’s new Aebi Terratrac is the most important vehicle on his farm, but he deliberately didn’t go for the model with the most powerful engine.

Aebi celebrates 40 years of Terratrac
Special occasions deserve a special atmosphere. Where could the pioneer among the steep slope implement carriers, the Aebi Terratrac, celebrate its 40th anniversary better than on the historical area at “Rütli”, in the canton of Uri in Switzerland. Numerous invited guests, among them Peter Spuhler, majority shareholder of the ASH Group, followed the invitation of Aebi to celebrate the historic and also new Aebi Terratrac at the founding place of the old Swiss Confederation.

Aebi Down Under
BETWEEN CATTLE, SHEEP, WALNUT PLANTATIONS AND KIWI FIELDS 18,760 kilometres of distance or 20 hours of flight time – there is hardly any place in the world which is further away from the birthplace of the Aebi vehicles than New Zealand. Anyone who only associates the “red Ferraris” from Burgdorf with steep mountain slopes and lush alpine meadows would be surprised to learn of all the places across the globe where they are found. The typical Aebi red also shines in quite a few fields down under, and not only there…

London Luton completes the puzzle
London Luton Airport (LLA) has added a self-propelled snow-cutter blower and a highly versatile implement carrier to its fleet. Being well prepared and ready for every eventuality, was the missing piece to the puzzle which is now completed to ensure effective and efficient summer and winter maintenance on the airport. Here’s more about the rationale.
Transporter No. 20 000: Whoever sells this much has got something!!
Within a short time, we were celebrating special anniversaries on all different Aebi production lines. In a loose series, we have shown where the vehicles have gone to and how they are used. To conclude the series, we follow the 20,000th transporter, an Aebi TP 470 Vario, to France.
Is it better to buy a single-axle implement carrier yourself or hire it from a farm machinery contractor?
The single-axle implement carriers from the Aebi CC range have become increasingly flexible and powerful over time. That said, does every farm really need its own implement carrier, often with the same attachments in each case? The answer is generally both yes and no. In this article, you can read about how with a bit of knowledge and creativity, and two Aebi CCs, it was possible to bring machinery to an entire valley in a more efficient and gentle way. The two implement carriers in the fleet of farm machinery contractor Stefan Gempeler are now being used by an entire valley.
Aebi TP 410 Voted «Tractor of the Year 2020»
The readers of the independent newspapers «Schweizer Bauer» and «Terre & Nature» have voted the Aebi TP 410 Transporter as Tractor of the Year 2020 in the category Alpine Technology. The Aebi TT 206 implement carrier also convinced the readers and achieved third place.
Aebi TP410 – The smallest Transporter makes it big
The new Aebi TP410, which will be presented at the AGRAMA agricultural technology exhibition in Bern from 29 November to 3 December, finally completes the Aebi family of transporters. The successor to the TP48P impresses with its Kubota turbo diesel engine, the lowest tare weight in its class, outstanding manoeuvrability and Aebi’s customary simple operation. Of course, the TP410 also provides the highest level of operational safety and is at home on any terrain – in other words, it’s a typical Aebi transporter.

The right wheel for every terrain
You can't reinvent the wheel?! This does not apply to our new double wheel system. Aebi offers a new, innovative double wheel concept for the Combicut motorised mowers in the large series. After a one-time pre-installation, the new system allows dual wheels to be attached in just a few seconds and removed again, for example for transporting the single axle machine.
Combicut No. 150 000: Whoever sells this much has got something!
In the past year, we were celebrating special anniversaries on all different Aebi production lines. In a loose series, we show you where the vehicles are going and how they are being used. The 150,000th single axle machine, an Aebi CC 56, went to the farm of the Muff family in Ruswil (Switzerland) high above Lake Sempach.
‘Lean production’ in the Burgdorf plant: The stress-free way to greater capacity
While an Aebi Combicut was previously made on individual islands, today everything flows together. The Combicut line in Burgdorf now works according to the ‘lean production’ principle. This means that interim storage has been done away with and any kind of fluctuations can largely be minimised. The promise to deliver a Combicut model within six weeks still stands. But the new way of organising production makes things much more stress-free at the plant – while achieving greater capacity at the same time.
TP 410 – a swift, sprightly specialist
Aebi has unveiled its new transporter. The small and nimble vehicle boasts 75 hp and 1616 reverse transmission. We were able to watch a test drive in Emmental, where several demonstration units are already in operation.
Aebi TP420 – A reliable Partner in Agriculture
Zermatt – the mountain community lies at an altitude of 1,600 metres, at the foot of the imposing Matterhorn, one of the most famous landmarks in Switzerland. Steep slopes, mountainous landscapes and lots of snow in winter make this town a paradise for skiers, hikers and day-trippers. Anyone who farms in this area needs a strong, robust transporter that they can rely on all year round.
