Beginning of March, 14 representatives of different municipalities of France and our dealer Europe Service were able to take a glance behind the curtains of the production at Schmidt in St. Blasien. The representatives came from cities such as Nice, Metz, Strasbourg or St. Nazaire. On the “journey” through the different stations of the production from logistics to the assembly to the final inspection the guests were able to inform themselves about the production of Schmidt sweepers at first hand. Especially the modern Swingo production line was well received. Nearly three years ago it was completely renewed and redesigned following the innovative Lean Management approach. This contained the optimisation of various processes to increase productivity – for the benefit of quality and delivery times. With this Schmidt sets new standards in the production of sweepers and is able to respond more quickly and flexible to fluctuating numbers of units and different customer requirements.
The factory visit was followed by a live presentation of various sweepers on the premises. Especially the new truck mounted sweeper Street King 660 was closely inspected by the customers. It stands out with enhanced performance, maximum efficiency and an innovative operating concept.
“As a manufacturer we are proud, to not only be able to present guests and customers an innovative and future-oriented production but also to bring closer the know-how and engagement of our employees behind the scenes, who are an important piece in the puzzle”, says Franck Fargier, Key Account Manager at the ASH Group. “Therefore, we even more enjoy if guests are able to gain so many positive insights from a factory tour and we are – like in this case – rewarded with orders of multiple new Swingo and Cleango compact sweepers.”
