Together with BLT Wieselburg, the editors of Landwirt magazine put five loader wagon bodies under the microscope. On the test farms in the Pinzgau region, ideal test conditions for the comparison were found for both the first and second cut. BLT Wieselburg assisted with the technical performance acceptance as well as with the assessment of the raking and cutting quality. Among others, an Aebi VT450 Vario with all-wheel steering and long wheelbase served as carrier vehicle. The Aebi LD42L convinced in several categories. There was much praise for the easy assembly and disassembly, but the LD42L also scored the highest number of points in the categories loading space, flaps, dry forage body, emptying, pick-up, cutting length or operation of the tailgate. In addition, it allows the shortest cut and is therefore particularly suitable for silage farms. The testers' summary: All 5 rear loaders can load, the differences are mainly in the handling and the quality of workmanship.
