What's in the + of the new TT 211⁺ ?

After the large Terratrac, the small Terratrac has now also received an update. What does the new + in the name actually mean for the user? We were guests at Wiget Landtechnik in Sattel SZ and asked.

A Pioneer for a Pioneer – Interview with Werner Baumann, Aebi TT281 Customer from the very start

Werner Baumann is proud of his new Aebi TT281. And he is proud to be able to call the first vehicle from the series his own. For the new leading model from Aebi is not just simply an implement carrier to him. It is “a top machine”.

Winter Road Maintenance at 2200 Meters above Sea level – New Aebi VT450 Vario for Corbeyrier

It has one of the most extensive work areas – at least as this concerned the height difference. The new Aebi VT450 Vario for the Commune de Corbeyrier in Switzerland will ensure snowy and ice-free roads. The streets of the municipality extends from 500 up to 2205 meters above sea level. The entrance roads to and from Corbeyrier, which is located on 1000 meters of altitude, are correspondingly challenging and steep. So the municipality was looking for a powerful and reliable partner, which can also be used beyond the winter service. So the decision was taken: an Aebi VT450 Vario should become a new “team member” in Corbeyrier. Mid of July, the transporter was handed over to the community together with Aebi dealer Jean-Marc Ries from Garage Ries Sàrl.

World leader at the Ski World Cup

AEBI TT280 WITH OVERHEAD WINCH AND CRAWLER TRACKS SUPPORTING SLOPE PREPARATION IN ADELBODEN 77 seconds – this is the best time with which Marcel Hirscher won the men’s FIS Ski World Cup last year in Adelboden, Switzerland. 77 seconds for 1290 meters, which have to be mastered twice and error-free in order to complete the competition. The best overall standing wins. The giant slalom in Adelboden at „Chuenisbärgli“ is known as one of the most difficult in the world. The challenging downhill slope with a maximum inclination of 60% is quite an affair and especially the steep finishing slope demands a lot from the athletes. While for the winter sportsmen a few seconds determine victory or defeat, the World cup requires months of preparation for the team of the racing director Hans Pieren. Especially in the last few days before the race every helping hand – or machine – counts. Aebi supports the organisation committee with an Aebi TT280 with crawler track and overhead winch, as well as an Aebi VT450 Vario Transporter. Following the principle: ‘world leading technology for world class athletes’.

Terratrac No. 15 000: Whoever sells this much has got something!

In the current year, we’re celebrating special anniversaries on all different Aebi production lines. In a loose series, we’ll will show you where the vehicles are going and how they are being used. Today, we start with the 15,000th Terratrac, which was delivered to Michael and Brigitte Schmid in Terenten in South Tyrol.

Aebi TT 241⁺: indispensable on slopes as well as wide open spaces

Andi Lampert breeds Black Angus cattle in the Engadin, a high Alpine valley in eastern Switzerland that is often compared to the west of Canada. Andi’s new Aebi Terratrac is the most important vehicle on his farm, but he deliberately didn’t go for the model with the most powerful engine.

Aebi TT211 - the Specialist for Golf Course Maintenance

Terratrac in action at Lenzerheide Golf Club (CH) Maintenance of the grass on a golf course is (almost) a science in its own right. No wonder then that Simon (‘Simi’) Stalder, Head Greenkeeper at Lenzerheide Golf Club in Switzerland, employs a team of 5½ people. From March until well into the autumn, everything revolves around creating the perfect green. From 2020, this will be done with the added support of an Aebi TT 211.

Aebi supports preparation of the longest Ski World Cup Downhill Race

With its 4.5 km, it is considered the longest downhill race of the FIS Ski World Cup and is established within the alpine ski racing sport since 1930: the downhill race at the Lauberhorn in Wengen, Switzerland. It takes about 2.5 minutes for the athletes to finish the 1028 meter height difference reaching top speed of up to 160 km/h. Therefore, the team of racing director Robert Lehman is putting emphasis on the condition of the track. Just as the weekend before at the World Cup in Adelboden, the organizational committee in Wengen is counting on the support of the well-established tracked vehicles of Aebi. The Aebi TT280 with crawler tracks and overhead winch is on site together with the Aebi TT211 with crawler tracks and snow blower as well as the new Aebi EC170 with snow blower.

"It’s a pleasure to work with Aebi machines!"

This quote is taken from a brochure from 1949. Aebi has been developing and manufacturing first-class agricultural machinery in Burgdorf for 140 years. With continuous innovation, we have always set new standards. Want to find out more? The current Aebi magazine sheds light on the history as well as current topics and innovations.

Is it better to buy a single-axle implement carrier yourself or hire it from a farm machinery contractor?

The single-axle implement carriers from the Aebi CC range have become increasingly flexible and powerful over time. That said, does every farm really need its own implement carrier, often with the same attachments in each case? The answer is generally both yes and no. In this article, you can read about how with a bit of knowledge and creativity, and two Aebi CCs, it was possible to bring machinery to an entire valley in a more efficient and gentle way. The two implement carriers in the fleet of farm machinery contractor Stefan Gempeler are now being used by an entire valley.

Bundesbeschaffung GmbH now also has the Schmidt Flexigo 150 in its range. The smallest all-rounder from the Schmidt sweeper family is distinguished by its comfortable articulated steering and high payload, among other features. It effortlessly cleans streets, pavements, pedestrian zones and narrow alleys. It is also flexible in terms of personnel deployment: it can be driven with an EU class B driving licence.

With spiked wheels and snow blower at the Hundschopf

Aebi at the World Cup race on the Lauberhorn When a myth is created between Hundschopf and Ziel-S on the Lauberhorn in Wengen, Switzerland, many helping hands are needed. The piste and construction work will begin as early as September. By the first race on Friday, 18 January 2019, more than 500 people will have worked on the downhill run and 230 tonnes of material for the grandstand and marquee will have been installed on the Wengeneralp alone. The goal of those responsible around race director Robert Lehmann: the race must be one of the most difficult in the World Cup calendar in order to do justice to the myth of the Lauberhorn, the longest ski race course in the world.

Aebi celebrates 40 years of Terratrac

Special occasions deserve a special atmosphere. Where could the pioneer among the steep slope implement carriers, the Aebi Terratrac, celebrate its 40th anniversary better than on the historical area at “Rütli”, in the canton of Uri in Switzerland. Numerous invited guests, among them Peter Spuhler, majority shareholder of the ASH Group, followed the invitation of Aebi to celebrate the historic and also new Aebi Terratrac at the founding place of the old Swiss Confederation.

Aebi Down Under

BETWEEN CATTLE, SHEEP, WALNUT PLANTATIONS AND KIWI FIELDS 18,760 kilometres of distance or 20 hours of flight time – there is hardly any place in the world which is further away from the birthplace of the Aebi vehicles than New Zealand. Anyone who only associates the “red Ferraris” from Burgdorf with steep mountain slopes and lush alpine meadows would be surprised to learn of all the places across the globe where they are found. The typical Aebi red also shines in quite a few fields down under, and not only there…
